6-Session Somatic Movement and Mindfulness Program

About

Discover the power of somatic movement and mindfulness with our 6 session Somatic Yoga Program, expertly crafted for healthcare professionals facing the physical and psychological demands of their vital roles. This program is designed to help you shift energy and release unhelpful neuromuscular holding patterns, guiding you toward a calmer, more regulated state by activating the parasympathetic nervous system and moving away from the fight-or-flight response. Each of the six sessions, lasting just 15 to 20 minutes, offers accessible, evidence-based practices rooted in the pioneering work of Drs. Thomas Hanna and Peter Levine. Through gentle movement, breathwork, and guided mindfulness, you’ll address the tension and pain that can build up during demanding shifts, while also supporting emotional resilience and cognitive clarity. Participants are encouraged to engage in the short video practices as often as they like to build the muscle memory to more readily down regulate the stress response. You are also invited to complete a brief self -evaluation before and after each session to track progress. Empirical research shows that somatic movement and mindfulness-based stress reduction can decrease symptoms of chronic stress, depression, anxiety, and pain, while enhancing emotional resilience and even supporting glycemic control. By joining this program, you’re not only invest in your own well-being, but also joining a community dedicated to holistic self-care. Your participation affirms agreement with the program waiver, ensuring a safe and supportive experience. Take the first step toward lasting wellness—your body and mind will thank you.
